Chinese investment in Russia falls 8.2% in January-February
BEIJING, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- China’s direct investment in Russia fell by 8.2% in January-February, Shen Danyang, official representative for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said at a briefing on Tuesday.
“In January-February, total Chinese investments in Hong Kong, ASEAN, E.U., Australia and the U.S. amounted to U.S. $13.42 billion, which accounts for 77% of China’s total direct investment in foreign economies,” he said.
“Investment in economies of Hong Kong, U.S. and ASEAN rose by 54.6%, 64.8% and 29.2% respectively, while investment in Russia, Australia and Japan contracted by 8.2%, 75.8% and 40% respectively.”
